Behavioral Health Field
Our guiding principles
Behavioral Health Field, Inc. (BH Field) is guided by a mission, vision, core values, and commitment to inclusion that together form the foundation for our goals, our strategy, and every decision we make about patient care. These guiding principles are provided to all employees during onboarding, reviewed with leadership at least annually, and published on our public website so that patients, families, referral sources, payers, and the community can hold us to them.
Our Mission
At BH Field, we promise to create clinically excellent, individualized behavioral programs that support each child's learning and each family's needs. We deliver services ethically, compassionately, and in full adherence to the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts, placing the wellbeing and dignity of the individuals we serve ahead of all other interests.
Our Vision
To be the provider of choice for applied behavior analysis — recognized for programs that maximize learning, build independence, and enhance quality of life, delivered by a compassionate, continuously learning team. We envision a practice in which every patient receives care that is individualized, evidence-based, and socially meaningful; every family is an informed and respected partner in treatment; and every practitioner has the training, supervision, and support to do their best work.
Our Core Values
- Dignity
- We protect the confidentiality, privacy, and personal dignity of every patient in all that we do.
- Integrity
- We value truth and honesty in our clinical practice, our documentation, our billing, and our relationships with families and payers.
- Commitment
- We remain committed to professionalism, to a supportive environment, and to the growing independence of the individuals we serve.
- Compassion
- We put compassion over compliance. Assent-based, compassionate care maximizes the teaching process and makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
- Ethical Practice
- All ABA professionals at BH Field are required to adhere to the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, and all staff are required to follow our Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
BH Field is committed to an inclusive and supportive workplace and to equitable access to care. We recruit and hire without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status; we provide training in cultural humility and responsiveness so that treatment reflects each family's language, culture, and values; we offer interpretation and translated materials where needed; we honor both person-first and identity-first language according to the preference of the individual and family; and we maintain a grievance process through which any employee, patient, or family may raise a concern about discrimination without fear of retaliation.
Application
These guiding principles are infused into our interactions with all stakeholders. They inform our hiring and training, our clinical decision-making, our supervision practices, our marketing, and our quality improvement activities.
