At home
One-to-one sessions where behaviors actually happen, so new skills carry straight into daily routines.
Locations
BH Field now serves families across Texas. Our team is based at our Round Rock office, and our RBTs deliver ABA therapy in person, at home and at school, wherever your family lives in the state.
Statewide, coordinated from our Round Rock office.
How care works
Therapy is delivered in person by a Registered Behavior Technician, supervised by a BCBA. Telehealth is for the parts that work well on video: assessments, supervision and parent training.

With the school's approval, your RBT works with your child in the classroom and coordinates with teachers on shared goals.
BCBA assessments, supervision and parent training by video. Therapy sessions themselves are always in person.
Where to find us
Our Texas office in Round Rock is where our Texas team is based. From here we coordinate ABA therapy for families anywhere in Texas: RBTs deliver sessions in person at home and at school, and assessments, BCBA supervision and parent training are available by telehealth. It is an office, not a therapy center, so sessions take place where your child lives and learns.

Getting started
2 to 16 weeks from your first call to your first session, depending mostly on your insurer, which can approve an authorization in 24 hours or take up to a month, and on how flexible your schedule is, any language or therapist gender preference, and your location.
Insurance and Medicaid
Texas Insurance Code § 1355.015 requires state-regulated group health plans to cover autism treatment, including ABA therapy, for a child diagnosed before age 10. For enrollees 10 and older, a plan may limit ABA to $36,000 a year. The law applies to group plans; individual plans are not covered by it.
State insurance laws apply to fully insured plans. Many large employers self-fund their plans, and those are regulated federally and generally exempt from state mandates, so coverage depends on your specific plan. Benefits verification is how we find out.
Texas Medicaid has covered ABA since February 1, 2022, for members 20 and younger who meet its autism services criteria, through Texas Health Steps. Children may be enrolled in STAR, STAR Kids or STAR Health, and their health plan follows the same ABA policy.
Texas Medicaid has its own provider rules for ABA. Whether we can serve your child's Medicaid plan is something we confirm with you during benefits verification, before anything is scheduled.

How insurance verification worksEarly intervention
Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) is Texas's program for children from birth to 36 months, run by Health and Human Services. Anyone can refer a child and no diagnosis is needed. Evaluations and case management are free, some services have a sliding-scale cost, and no one is refused for inability to pay.
From age 3, school districts offer early childhood special education. Both can run alongside ABA, and we coordinate with your child's team.
Licensing
Texas licenses behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Therapy sessions are delivered in person by Registered Behavior Technicians under the supervision of a BH Field BCBA.
Questions
Texas law requires state-regulated group plans to cover ABA for children diagnosed before age 10, with a possible $36,000 yearly limit from age 10, and Texas Medicaid covers it for members 20 and younger who qualify. Individual and self-funded plans can differ, so we confirm your coverage during benefits verification.
Anywhere in the state. Our team is based at our Round Rock office, and RBTs deliver therapy in person at home and at school. Assessments, supervision and parent training can be done by telehealth.
